Since 2019, we have served our local community through expert septic and excavation services. Jeff is the owner and operator of Starcher Property Services with over two decades of experience. This was a 30'x40' pipe and stone septic replacement we did in September. We had to build half the system at a time because of access restrictions. The tanks were up to code and in good condition so they did not need replacing.

We like to carry our groceries in one trip. One of the benefits of a 25 ton tag trailer.

This system was less than 8 years old. The company that installed it is famous for this type of work. It disturbs me to no end when customers are taken advantage of.

This is a clean solution system in one of the best draining sands New Hampshire has to offer with a water table below 8' deep. The problem was that the company who installed the system buried trees, stumps and dark loam under the EDA (leach field).

This was an enviro septic system and we replaced it with a stone and pipe system.

Another tougher than normal septic system install. This took place on a very narrow dead end road on a very tight sloped lot.

This was a fun septic system. This was a geomat edge unit design for the tight area. The tank was cast with an antifloat extended base because the bottom of the tank elevation is set below the lakes water level. We fit and finished this system with a redi rock retaining wall and the client's couldnt be happier.

This was the first enviro septic install of 2025.

Last years winter project continued. I am ecstatic the way the corners of the hood came out. I had to grind out and rebuild the corners due to severe cracking and the hood was in rough shape from being painted 30 years ago.

This was the last septic system for 2024 located in the Oak Ledge Development. It is always a pain when we need to bring out frost blankets. We needed to cut 5" of ledge with the cut off saw to bring the tank down to grade. This was a 5 bedroom system so it was a 1500 gallon tank with 360' of enviro septic pipe.

I had the pleasure of speaking with the woman who developed this property in the 1970's. She spoke about how they had to develop this lot with a "cavitette" septic system which is similar to the clean solution technology but back in the 70's. She thought the cavitette system came from Kentucky.

Here is an enviro septic system built on a slope. The trick with this one is that I had to install each line and put sand on one at a time, then grade the bed bottom for the next one for all 7 lines rather than grading the whole bed bottom and installing all the lines, then putting sand on. Each line was 6" higher than the previous. Although we had to install in this fashion, it was still installed and ready for inspection in one day.

Drywells are statistically one of the longest lasting systems in New Hampshire. Could it be because of the 4' separation to the estimated seasonal high water table (ESHWT)? Im not sure. But here is one we installed in the fall of 2024.

Here at Starcher Property Services LLC we feel it is important to give back to our community, no matter how big or small. Last year after our community had a dog park put in one of the towns fields we noticed there was little to no shade. We thought it would be nice to donate 5 maple trees to provide some shade. So Joel and I brought the mini excavator down to the park to dig the holes and place the trees. I know one of the trees did not make it through the winter so we will see about replacing it this coming spring. It will take a few years to really provide some shade but we had to start somewhere.

A customer called us because their line was "clogged". Upon arrival we looked in the septic tank and realized the baffle was crooked, which from my experience was a clear indictator that the pipe was either crushed or broken. We mobilized our mini excavator and started digging. We found that the pipe was indeed broken and the joints had pulled apart. We dug all the way up to the concrete patio and scoped the rest of the line with a camera. Not only was the pipe broken at the tank, but all the way up under the house. So we carefully took the slabs out (luckly they were already cracked in the right places). We replaced the pipe with schedule 40 PVC and put everything back together. That is the problem with contractors "cheaping out" on the right materials and not gluing the joints. A word to the wise; make sure when you hire a contractor to have them write in their proposals what materials they are going to use and also have them take pictures of the installation process.

Set piers for N.M. Ross on a very large deck system. The deck required 28 piers of which we could only set 23 of them by way of digging. The other 5 needed to be drilled as they were too close to the pool for us to dig. I didnt have any pictures of the final product but knowing the quality work they do, I know it came out amazing!

This septic system is an Advanced Onsite Solutions "Clean Solution" system. It was delevoped for very tight spaces where conventional systems are too big for the area. This was probably the toughest system we have installed due to the septic tank placement being down slope from where we could dig the hole. The backfill over the septic tank was at the maximum and where the pump chamber was placed was near the maximum that the excavator could dig. So thankful that the soil was very tight and compact to provide safe vertical faces, otherwise we would have had to excavate a lot more material and build a road for the septic truck to be able to set the lower tank. The upper black tank is the "clean solution" tank where an air pump introduces fresh air to a portion of the tank. The portion of the tank the air is introduced is full of plastic media for bacteria to attach to. This process kills the bacteria and the effluent leaving the tank is a lot cleaner going to the system, which allows the effluent disposal area (leach field) to be under 1/3 the normal size.

Project completed for the Sunapee High School. First task was to use the mini and skidteer to squeeze the red shed out of the space it was in. We then dug all the pavement out of the area and lowered the grade to pour a slab and put in drainage stone. Thanks for the help @whipplemarine

This was a tough little system from May 2024. There was no truck access down over the bank to the leach field so we had to bucket every bit of sand and screened loam down the hill.

Its so rewarding to get notes like these after completing jobs. 🤗🤗

Replaced a failed pump chamber today. The old system had a 30 gallon fiberglass chamber with a basement sump pump. The fiberglass chamber failed and let ground water in which in turn burned the old pump out. We replaced the old chamber with a precast chamber and alarm system. Thanks to Brehio Electric for the assist in wiring.

Beyond excited for our new purchase. Shout out to Jobe Miles, Charlotte, and team at Chappell Tractor for making this an easy transaction. Now let's get to work!

4 bedroom septic replacement completed this week. The original pipe went under the slab, halfway into the house and stubbed up through the floor. It was failing and we needed to reroute the new pipe through the wall, above the slab and call in a licensed plumber to reroute the main leader inside. Once inspected we covered everything over cleaned up and had everything hydroseeded to finish.

This client had water running down the driveway. To fix the issue, we regraded and spread crushed asphalt so that the driveway will shed the rain runoff off of the driveway instead of running down the driveway.
